Afghan
Christian Leader Received Death Threat Over The Telephone.
February 15
- Afghan Times - An Afghan
Christian Leader in the United States received death threats
over the telephone while he was having dinner with his family
today when two different telephone calls where made within 20
minutes on the same day.
"The callers were saying that they are
calling from Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates and
threatening my children and I to death if we did not shut down
our websites." said Hussain Andaryas who has
daily Radio programs
for Afghanistan and also a TV
program weekly.
This is not the first time that Mr.
Andaryas has received such threats but the this was the first of
its kind. "I have been threaten to death many times and several
times beaten almost to death but this was the fist time I
received death threats one after the other who are very angry.
It really does not bother me much but seeing my two kids, they
were with me at the time of telephone calls, it scared them a
bit." said Andaryas.
Mr. Andaryas added that in the past he
received threats from organizations such as Hakikat which is a
legal Islamic Charity in Germany over the telephones but God has
been gracious to us. I believe unless God permits not one can
touch me."
Mr. Andaryas came to the United States
sought asylum after they were asked to leave India and were to
be deported to Afghanistan where the then Taleban movements were
waiting to execute him and his family members.
